Symptom: Individual keys stay down, respond sluggishly or go silent when played repeatedly.
What we do: We check key pins, felts and action linkages, clear swelling or debris caused by humidity, and replace worn parts where necessary.
Broken or Corroded Strings
Symptom: A note suddenly goes silent, the tuning will not hold, or strings show rust.
What we do: We fit strings of matching specification and re-tune to stabilise tension; for heavy corrosion we recommend replacing strings in sections so the tone stays even.
Pedal Faults or Squeaks
Symptom: The sustain pedal has no effect, squeaks, or feels loose.
What we do: We adjust the pedal rods, replace felts and fittings, and restore proper pedal travel and response.
Buzzing, Rattling and Vibration
Symptom: Metallic ringing, humming or mechanical clicks while playing.
What we do: We trace strings, dampers, action parts and case components one by one to locate and eliminate the source.
Chipped or Damaged Key Tops
Symptom: Key tops cracked, chipped, yellowed or lifting off.

How much does piano repair cost?
Repair costs depend on the type of fault, any parts required and the labour involved. Send us a photo or short video on WhatsApp first; once we understand the situation we will arrange an assessment and provide a quotation, and work begins only after you confirm.
Is an old piano that has not been played for years still worth repairing?
Most structurally sound pianos, even after years without use, can be brought back to good condition through repair, tuning and voicing, and will play well for many more years. For premium brands in particular, a new piano of the same grade usually costs considerably more today than it did years ago, so restoring the old one is also a good option. Every piano is different, so contact us for a consultation: our technician will assess whether repair is worthwhile and which work can be done in stages.
How long do repairs take, and does the piano need to go to your workshop?
It depends on the type of fault and the scale of the work. Simpler individual faults, such as sticking keys or pedal adjustments, can usually be fixed in a single home visit; full action restoration or structural repairs that require disassembly may be done in stages or at our Tsuen Wan workshop. Our technician will explain the timing and arrangements after the assessment.
